WARNING: The following casting news contains SPOILER information about a cameo in "Dumb and Dumber To." Proceed at your own discretion!

"Dumb and Dumber To" may star two dim bulbs, but it gained some major wattage recently in the form of Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, who spent a day on set filming a cameo for the upcoming sequel to 1994 hit "Dumb and Dumber."

Lawrence will play the younger version of Kathleen Turner's character in the sequel. Turner is the former flame of Harry (Jeff Daniels), who sends him a letter about his alleged long-lost daughter, leading him to team up with his old pal Lloyd (Jim Carrey) and set off on another road trip.

The Hollywood Reporter writes that Lawrence's "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay" set is near "Dumb and Dumber To"'s Atlanta location, and the entire "Mockingjay" cast joined her for a visit the day she shot her cameo. Lawrence is a diehard fan of the 1994 comedy, telling "Late Night" host Jimmy Fallon in a recent interview that she "know[s] every word" to the film.

The long-awaited sequel keeps adding stars to its orbit. In addition to Lawrence, comedian Rob Riggle has also been confirmed for the flick. He'll play a set of twins named Travis and Captain Lippencott, described as a handyman and unstable, respectively.

Despite the two-decade gap, it appears "To" is trying to keep up the zany energy of the original. We'll see how successful it is when the film opens next year, in time for "Dumb and Dumber"'s 20th anniversary.
