Jennifer Lawrence won legions of fans for her roles in films like "The Hunger Games" and "Silver Linings Playbook," and her brash, unapologetic personality gained her even more admirers. That thick skin came in handy, the actress revealed, when she was told she needed to lose weight.
"It was just the kind of s--t that actresses have to go through," Lawrence revealed in an interview for the November issue of Harper's Bazaar UK. "Somebody told me I was fat, that I was going to get fired if I didn't lose a certain amount of weight."
While the 23-year-old Best Actress Oscar winner didn't reveal when the incident occurred, she opened up about the harsh, personal nature of the exchange.
"They brought in pictures of me where I was basically naked, and told me to use them as motivation for my diet," Lawrence said. "They thought that because of the way my career had gone, it wouldn't still hurt me."
Despite that humiliating exchange, Lawrence told the magazine that she's found a way to shut down similar situations should they arise again.
"If anybody even tries to whisper the word 'diet,' I'm like, 'You can go f--k yourself,'" she said.
We wouldn't want to mess with her, either.
