Another day, another highly anticipated bit of "Fifty Shades of Grey" casting news. This time, it's regarding the possibility of actress Jennifer Ehle joining the adaptation as Anastasia Steele's mom, Carla May Wilks.

Deadline reports that the actress is currently in talks with Universal Pictures and Focus Features for the coveted role, in which she'll play mother hen to Dakota Johnson's Anastasia. While it's not confirmed, this kind of news usually means that whatever actor/actress is in negotiations will certainly nab the part.

While Ehle may not be a household name, you'll certainly recognize the actress from her roles in high-profile films "Contagion," "King's Speech," and "Zero Dark Thirty."

In addition to the aforementioned Johnson as Anastasia, Charlie Hunnam has been tapped to play the titular Christian Grey, and Sam Taylor-Johnson has been tapped to direct.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" is due in theaters on August 1, 2014.
