"The Right Stuff" wasn't just the definitive portrait of the early test pilots and astronauts who pioneered America's space program. Released 30 years ago this month (on October 21, 1983), the screen version of Tom Wolfe's book was also the career launch pad for several young actors and actresses who'd go on to become household names (as well as a handful sadly, who would not).
