'Laura Linney Fifth Estate Preview
Ever regret hitting the "send" button? Laura Linney's character in "The Fifth Estate," Sarah Shaw, sure does.

In this exclusive preview of director Bill Condon's ripped-from-the-headlines drama, the threat of a massive leak of tens of thousands of diplomatic cables (like email, but old-school and theoretically more secure) -- courtesy of Julian Assange's WikiLeaks -- sets the government scrambling into preemptive foreign relations damage control mode.

"Do you think the president of Turkmenistan will be more upset that I called him a practiced liar or that I called him vain," Linney's Shaw asks James Boswell (Stanley Tucci). To which he replies, "I'm sure he's heard worse."

We don't know the president of Turkmenistan, but you're probably right, Tucci.

"The Fifth Estate," which chronicles the rise of WikiLeaks and its founder, Julian Assange, stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Daniel Bruhl, Anthony Mackie, Peter Capaldi, David Thewlis, and Dan Stevens. It hits theaters October 18.

Bonus!Come back next week for our exclusive interview with Emmy-winning Laura Linney, in which she shares her binge-watching habits and reveals the one movie decision she rues the most.
