Looks like "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" is remaining open.

In an interview with RadioTimes.com, actress Penelope Wilton confirmed that the 2011 film is getting a sequel. "Marigold," based on the novel "These Foolish Things" by Deborah Moggach, focused on a group of retirees who move to a hotel in India, and co-starred Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, and Bill Nighy.

Wilton revealed that everyone from the cast is expected to reprise their roles for the follow-up, and actors would fly to India to begin production early next year. It's expected that director John Madden and writer Ol Parker will also return for the sequel.

"We had a wonderful time shooting this film the first time and I am thrilled we will be going back in January to do another one," Wilton told RadioTimes.com. "As far as I know everybody will be returning."

"The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" was a surprise box office success, and pulled in awards nominations from the Golden Globes, the Screen Actors Guild, and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, among others.
