President Barack Obama will host a special White House screening this week of "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom," the biopic about famed South African anti-apartheid activist and former president Nelson Mandela.

Along with director Justin Chadwick, stars Idris Elba (pictured)Pres and Naomie Harris, and producer Harvey Weinstein, Mandela's daughters Zindzi and Zenami will also attend the screening. The event will take place on Thursday, November 7.
"Knowing what a strong relationship President Obama has with President Mandela, it's an honor for this film to be shown at the White House," Weinstein said in a statement.
"Long Walk to Freedom" stars Elba as Mandela, and is a heavy Oscar favorite. It opens in New York and Los Angeles on November 29.
