It's no secret that Veronica Mars is taking her sleuthing game to the big screen, and now the case is finally closed on the premiere date.
Entertainment Weekly revealed today that the Kickstarter-funded project is hitting theaters on March 14, 2014, just one year after "Veronica Mars" creator Rob Thomas issued his crowdfunding plea to dedicated Marshmallows, who responded with an impressive $5.7 million toward a movie adaptation of the Kristen Bell TV series.
"Warner Bros. had this date circled for quite some time and hoped it would stay open. Luckily, no other teen detective movie decided to open in the middle of March," Thomas joked in an interview with EW.
Even better, the plot sounds amazing: Ten years after moving away from her hometown of Neptune, California, law school graduate Veronica heads back west to help her ex Logan (Jason Dohring), who's the prime suspect in the murder of his pop star girlfriend. All the original cast members will be back, and there will be cameos galore.
