According to Forbes, Adam Sandler isn't worth his hefty paycheck, as the comedian landed at the top of the magazine's 10 Most Overpaid Actors list.
Sandler, who demands north of $15 million for every movie in which he stars, doesn't always make good on that investment, Forbes says. He has two recent flops -- "Jack & Jill" and "That's My Boy" -- under his belt that showed he returned only $3.40 for every $1 he was paid.
Forbes explained its methodology thusly:
Hollywood pays its biggest stars millions of dollar per film. Some are worth the money. Based on their last three projects, these 10 stars are not. We used data gathered from our Celebrity 100 research and Box Office Mojo to calculate how much, on average, each star's last three films earned at the box office per dollar of pay. Think of it like a star return on investment number.
The rest of the top 10 Most Overpaid, in order, were: Katherine Heigl, Reese Witherspoon, Nicolas Cage, Kevin James, Denzel Washington, Steve Carell, Jennifer Aniston, Matt Damon, and Ryan Reynolds.
