The current Justice League comics have introduced a hot-and-heavy romance between Superman and Wonder Woman, leading SuperHeroHype to wonder how the onscreen Lois Lane, Amy Adams, feels about that relationship.

In an interview with the "Man of Steel" star, the site questioned Adams about that plotline, and her reaction to the potential set up of a love triangle between herself, newly-christened Wonder Woman Gal Gadot, and Henry Cavill's Superman in the upcoming sequel, "Batman vs. Superman." Adams wasn't so sure about the idea, instead suggesting an alternate storyline for the female characters.
"I hope that I can be involved with a woman on screen where we're not in a love triangle," she told the site. "That would be fun. Maybe where we team up together and we work as teammates instead of adversaries. ... Wouldn't it be nice if women weren't always just catfighting [onscreen]?"
Adams makes a good point about the tired trope of pitting pretty ladies against each other for a hunky male lead's affection. Here's hoping Lois Lane and Wonder Woman can add ass-kicking, rather than just their taste in men, to their list of similarities (which also includes alliterative names).
"Batman vs. Superman" flies into theaters July 17, 2015.
