Tina Fey and Amy Poehler may be busy preparing for their second stint as Golden Globes hosts, but the pair say they're on board for another project: "Star Wars: Episode VII." Well, sort of.

In a Q&A with Entertainment Weekly, the BFFs joked that they were only going to commit to future projects that they could work on together, hinting that they were already cast to play characters near and dear to "Star Wars" villain Darth Vader.
"He has two horrible mothers," Poehler deadpanned. "We know a lot of father stuff with 'Star Wars,' and not a lot of mother stuff. We play these really naggy mothers of Darth Vader."
A lot of that nagging, the pair said, comes down to criticizing his clothing choices, and "making him practice his Jedi stuff for hours," according to Fey. Also on the docket for the Mama Vaders is "hitting on all his Jedi friends inappropriately," Poehler explains. She added, "I feel like the theme of the next 'Star Wars' is going to be: How does a working mother juggle it all? I'm looking forward to that."
Of course, Fey and Poehler won't be appearing "Episode VII," though that doesn't mean that director J.J. Abrams didn't join in the fun. Asked for a comment by EW, Abrams said the two were a great fit for the franchise.
"The exciting thing about having Amy and Tina play the Vader Moms, as we're calling them, is that they bring to the film that pitch-perfect 'Star Wars' energy fans are clamoring for," the director told the mag.
Here's hoping all involved realize that this joke is actually an amazing idea, and Tina and Amy pop up somewhere in the new trilogy. If Jar Jar Binks is good enough for the "Star Wars" universe, Amy and Tina deserve a moment in the sun, too.
