adam mckay will ferrell improvised moments
Adam McKay -- director and co-writer of "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues -- is Moviefone's Guest Editor from December 16 - 20. Watch for exclusive features from him throughout the week. Below, McKay lists Will Ferrell's top five improvised moments, in no particular order.WARNING: There's some NSFW language ahead!

"Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" – "Milk was a bad choice."
Will kept asking me why I had him drinking milk in the scene. I said it seemed like the most horrible beverage to be drinking on a hot street. Finally during one take he came out with the line.
"Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" – "I'm in a glass case of emotion."
We carried that phone booth around on a truck for weeks. Our line producer, David Householter, kept insisting we were going to get the scene even though it wasn't critical to that part of the movie. Thank god because that scene makes me laugh every time I see it and it was totally improvised.
"Step Brothers" – Dale and Brennan threatening each other in their beds
This scene is a mix of written and improvised moments. John and Will were so funny it could have easily been a 20 min scene.
"The Other Guys" – Allen Gamble's monologue about a tuna killing a lion
This was completely improvised. I threw out an idea to Will: "how would a tuna fight a lion?" It took us a couple takes where we kicked it back and forth between each othere, but it ended up being one of my favorite moments that Will and I have done.
"Step Brothers" - The sleep-walking scene
So incredibly funny...All of it basically improvised. Look at the extended DVD if you want to see more. Specifically check out the driving scene where they go to a convenience store. It didn't make the final cut, but it's easily one of the funniest things we've ever done.
"Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues" opens nationwide December 18.
