The "Night at the Museum" franchise is hopping across the pond for its next installment, and has just added Aussie actress Rebel Wilson to the star-studded cast.

Deadline reports that Wilson will appear in "Night at the Museum 3" as the nighttime security guard at the British Museum, the setting of the sequel to 2009's "Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian." She joins Ben Stiller, Robin Williams, Owen Wilson, Ricky Gervais, Steve Coogan ("Philomena"), and Dan Stevens ("Downton Abbey").
The plot is being kept under wraps for now, but much like the first two films, Stiller's security guard character will most likely interact with a host of historical characters that come to life when the museum closes for the night. The British Museum houses a bunch of cool artifacts, including the Rosetta Stone, one of the infamous statues from Easter Island, and several drawings by artists including Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, so expect some or all of those to play a part in the movie.
"Night at the Museum 3" is expected to hit theaters on Christmas Day.
