Deadline reports that Kingsley will play an Egyptian pharaoh who is brought to life by a magical tablet. The latest sequel in the blockbuster "Night at the Museum" franchise takes place at the British Museum in London, the home of the Rosetta Stone, among other iconic artifacts.
Kingsley joins an already star-studded cast that includes the returning Ben Stiller, Robin Williams, Owen Wilson, and Ricky Gervais. Rebel Wilson was also recently added to the ensemble; she'll play a night security guard at the museum.
"Night at the Museum 3" is set to open Christmas Day.
