deliver us from evil trailer
Horror movies have gone through something of a renaissance lately (a horraissance?), with movies like "The Conjuring" and "Sinister" scaring up big box office numbers.

"Deliver Us From Evil" hopes to be part of that trend when it comes out this summer. The first trailer nicely builds up tension and suspense until one final, jump-out-of-your-seat moment at the end.

Not much is revealed about the plot. Eric Bana stars as a police officer, who has a wife (Olivia Munn) and daughter. Bana says, "I've seen some horrible things, nothing that can't be explained by human nature."

"Then you haven't seen true evil," someone ominously warns. And it seems like Bana will know what that is when his daughter starts to hear scratching under her bed at night.

"Deliver Us From Evil" opens in theaters July 2.
