After setting up a new "Frozen"-centric storyline at the end of last season, "Once Upon a Time" is kicking that plot into overdrive, and may have found its villain.
Entertainment Weekly reports that "Lost" and "Revolution" alum Elizabeth Mitchell is joining the series's fourth season in a "possibly malevolent" role, and is likely to play the antagonist to "Frozen" sisters Anna (newcomer Elizabeth Lail) and Elsa ("Fringe" star Georgina Haig). EW adds that the character has ties to the sisters, as well as their home of Arendell and "Once" setting Storybrooke.
"The events in 'Once Upon' are expected to take place after the events in last year's animated Disney hit," the site added.
The season four premiere will most likely focus quite closely on the "Frozen" storyline, as executive producer Adam Horowitz shared a photo of the episode's script on Twitter Monday, revealing that its title is "A Tale of Two Sisters."
Mitchell's role on "Once" will reunite the actress with Horowitz and co-executive producer Edward Kitsis, with whom Mitchell worked on "Lost."
The fourth season of "Once Upon a Time" returns to ABC this fall.
