Fox announced its lineup of fall premiere dates Tuesday, and it includes some answers about just when we'll see beloved programs return, as well as the debuts of new series.

Among the highlights is the premiere of the highly-anticipated crossover episode between "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy" -- dubbed "The Simpsons Guy" -- which will drop in a special one-hour block on September 28. Sundays are seeing a bit of a shakeup this year, with sophomore sitcom "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" moving over to the night from Tuesdays; new sitcom "Mulaney" will also find its home on Sundays, when it makes its series debut on October 5.

Experimental reality show "Utopia" will have a three-part premiere, set to air on September 7, 9, and 12 before switching to its normal timeslot on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Another notable facet of the schedule is one glaring omission: "Glee," which just had its episode order slashed from 22 to 13 episodes. It's now being saved for midseason, along with "Backstrom," starring Rainn Wilson; animated comedy "Bordertown"; hip-hop drama "Empire"; "The Last Man on Earth," starring Will Forte; "Wayward Pines," an attempt at an event series; "Weird Loners"; "American Idol"; and "The Following." No premiere dates for those series have been set yet.
