The Netflix Original Series
The long-awaited fourth season of "Arrested Development" divided fans and critics alike last year, but streaming service Netflix was so pleased with resurrected comedy's performance that it pledged to make another season. While it's been awhile since news on the "Arrested" front has made headlines, Netflix exec Ted Sarandos has just assured fans that season five is on its way -- eventually.

In an interview with USA Today about Netflix's rapidly expanding slate of original programming, Sarandos told the paper that he was "positive" that fans would see the Bluth family's shenanigans again. USA Today writes:

"It's just a matter of when," he says, adding that sorting out actors' schedules is a concern: It was "a fair criticism" of last year's revival of the cult comedy "that the cast didn't appear on screen often enough together."

That latter point was certainly one of the biggest bones of contention with season four (green screen effects really are not conducive to a comedy series), and a hurdle that Netflix needs to address going forward. But it's comforting to hear that Sarandos and co. are committed to getting another season of "Arrested" out there, even if there's no specific timeframe for doing so just yet.

Our fingers will be crossed for more news soon. In the meantime, we're going to practice our chicken dance.
