girl meets world season 2Here are two things you should never doubt the power of: '90s nostalgia and millennials. The two powerful forces collided and birthed "Girl Meets World," which is currently enjoying its first season on the Disney Channel -- and, apparently, a very successful one. The powers-that-be have just renewed the show for second season after just five episodes.

If you don't know what "Girl Meets World" is (and you want to feel old), we'll explain it to you. Remember that show from the '90s called "Boy Meets World," starring Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel lovebirds Cory and Topanga? Well, "Girl" is a spinoff (or sequel?) to that show, which picks up years later, the pair are married and of child-rearing age. They are parents to a middle-schooler named Riley, played by Rowan Blanchard. There are also plenty of cameos from former "Boy Meets World" stars.

No word on when "Girl Meets World" Season 2 will premiere, but Season 1 is due to wrap up sometime this fall.
