Bust out the tater tots! Chris Pratt will host the season premiere of "Saturday Night Live" on September 27, alongside young songbird Ariana Grande. This isn't just any old season premiere, though. It's the 40th anniversary of "SNL," which kicked off in 1975 with Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, Chevy Chase, Gilda Radner, Jane Curtin, and other comic stalwarts. Of course, Pratt's "Parks and Rec" boss Amy Poehler rocked the mic at "SNL" before leaving to have a baby in 2008.
Given the glorious history of cameo appearances on "SNL," we've got our fingers crossed that Poehler might show up, or maybe even Anna Faris, the very funny real-life love of the Star-Lord himself. In any case, we're looking forward to seeing Pratt's sketch prowess.
Pratt and the "Parks" crew were in DC this past week to film some scenes for the next season. Check out the pics!
