After recent beloved "Saturday Night Live" alum Bill Hader hosted the show this past weekend, fellow onetime "SNL" star Chris Rock has also booked his return.
The sketch series announced on Twitter Tuesday that Rock will host "SNL" on November 1, nearly two decades after his only previous hosting gig, way back in 1996. The comedian was a cast member on the show from 1990-1993.
Rock will be the third alum to host an episode of "SNL"'s 40th season -- following Hader and Sarah Silverman -- and he'll be the fourth out of five hosts overall this season to make a repeat hosting appearance, after Jim Carrey returns for the gig on October 25. (Chris Pratt, who hosted the season premiere, is the only first-timer of the bunch so far.)
The comedian will be joined by musical guest Prince, making his third appearance on the program, following stints in 1981 and 2006.
Rock's episode airs November 1 at 11:30 p.m. on NBC.
