Hugh Jackman has undergone another treatment for skin cancer, his third in less than a year, though his prognosis is good.
Jackman, who has basal cell carcinoma, had more cancerous cells removed recently and is hoping that this treatment will be his last, according to a spokesperson. He underwent similar procedures in November 2013, and again in May. (The above photo was taken shortly after the latter procedure; he also posted bandage-sporting selfies on his Instagram account.)
People reports that Jackman's cancer "is very treatable, but must be caught early." His rep tells the magazine that the actor is "okay now."
Since his diagnosis, the 46-year-old "X-Men" star has urged fans to protect their skin, and especially wear sunscreen. He posted a photo of Baz Luhrmann's late-'90s single "Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)" on Instagram to mark his latest treatment.
Here's hoping Jackman makes a full recovery.
