Gotham, The Joker"Gotham" executive producer Bruno Heller wasn't kidding when he hinted that The Joker would be appearing on "Gotham" soon: A first look at the iconic "Batman" villain is part of a teaser for the next episode of the Fox series.

In the clip, we're reminded that we've already met several high-profile baddies populating the city. But, "Gotham's next villain is no joke," the preview teases, cutting to a man being questioned by Detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) who has quite the unhinged maniacal laugh.

Cinema Blend points out that that's actor Cameron Monaghan ("The Giver," "Vampire Academy," "Shameless"), who will most likely be playing a teenaged version of The Joker, in an effort to make the villain a similar age to the young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz). His name is Jerome on the series, per the episode information available for the installment, the series's 16th, entitled "The Blind Fortune Teller."

Check out a short look at Jerome/The Joker below, and see his full appearance on "Gotham" on February 16 at 8 p.m.
