Suffragette - Trailer No. 1
The fight for equal rights for women is still a relevant struggle in 2015, making the trailer for upcoming film "Suffragette" -- which focuses on the British suffrage movement in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and premieres today exclusively on Moviefone -- that much more poignant.

"Suffragette" stars Meryl Streep, Carey Mulligan, and Helena Bonham Carter as members of the ever-growing group of women who want fairness from their government -- and are willing to go to violent, radical lengths to get it. As Maud (Mulligan) explains to one sneering man, "We break windows, we burn things, 'cause war's the only language men listen to."

Edith (Bonham Carter) refers to herself as a soldier, while Emmeline Pankhurst (Streep) excitedly "incite[s] the women in Britain to a rebellion." They're beaten, thrown in prison, their children are taken away, and yet Maud and her cohorts remain defiant -- and hopeful -- that they'll see success in the end.

"We will win," Maud declares to the same clueless fellow from before. We know she's right, and yet we also know it's a long, difficult road to get there -- and one many women are still on.
