As Rey, Ridley already got to fight with a lightsaber against Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," and for a beginner, she was pretty good. With "Star Wars: Episode VIII" currently filming, she'll presumably get to do some more of that, now that Rey has found Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and can be the padawan to his master.
Ridley posted a short video to her Instagram that featured the actress practicing some fight choreography:
So @liangstunts (TRAITOR) is WUSHU FRICKING MASTER and I always try to get him to teach me things... This was today!!! Obvs not great but HE'S amazing and he's also featured at the end ???????????? our stunt team are the most incredible group of people, so lucky I get to train with them!
Not quite Jedi level yet, but practice makes perfect!
