Gal Gadot made her DC universe debut earlier this year in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," and will soon headline her own standalone flick as Wonder Woman. Now, as filming on the latter movie wraps, Gadot is feeling grateful for the incredible journey.

The actress announced on Facebook this week that she had just finished shooting her role in "Wonder Woman," and as she reflected on that milestone, she couldn't help but marvel over everything she's been through since she joined the DC Comics family.

"Today was my last day shooting the solo Wonder Woman movie!" Gadot wrote on Facebook. "It's been such an amazing, exciting, dreamy, happy and fascinating experience I will cherish it forever. Thank you to everyone who was involved, our amazing cast, crew and phenomenal director."

The folks over at Coming Soon suggest that Gadot needed to wrap up her part in "Wonder Woman" in order to begin work on "Justice League: Part One," which is already underway. Additional photography may be needed for "Wonder Woman," but it looks like that will be taken care of without Gadot's involvement.

"Wonder Woman," directed by Patty Jenkins, also stars Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui, Elena Anaya, Connie Nielsen, and Lucy Davis. It hits theaters on June 2, 2017.
