Michael C. Hall is taking over the Oval Office -- on TV at least.

The "Dexter" vet has been cast as President John F. Kennedy in "The Crown" Season 2, THR reports. With the series heading into the 1960s, the plot will add in some drama from the opposite side of the Atlantic. Hall will play the iconic U.S. politician while Jodi Balfour portrays his wife, Jackie.

"The Crown" follows the reign of Queen Elizabeth II (Claire Foy), starting with her early days on the throne. Season 1 focused heavily on the queen's new marriage as well as her sister's controversial engagement. When the show returns for its sophomore season, the scandal will keep on coming. We'll see the fallout from an illegal war in Egypt, a prime minister lose his job, and apparently, the Kennedys.

The royal family has proven exciting enough to keep us captivated on their own, but we won't say no to the American first family when "The Crown" Season 2 arrives.
