"I have to sing. I have to play. The music isn't just in me. It is me!" declares a character in the first trailer for Pixar's upcoming movie "Coco."

A little boy's passion for music inspires the tale, which follows Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) on a journey to discover who himself and his heritage. He finds himself in the colorful, dazzling, intriguing Land of the Dead, where he teams up with trickster Hector (Gael Garcia Bernal) to learn more about his family history."Coco" is the second of two Pixar movies being released this year; the other is "Cars 3." But "Coco" feels more in the vein of "Inside Out," a more intimate, character-driven story. And in setting this movie in Mexico, Pixar is wisely branching out to explore other regions and cultures.

"Coco" opens in theaters Nov. 22.
