The Screen Junkies love to tear into movies in their Honest Trailer series, but for "Wonder Woman," there aren't quite as many flaws to lasso.
The trailer starts with an acknowledgement that most DC Comics Extended Universe movies are dour, grim, and dark — and that "Wonder Woman" isn't, which is why it is the most successful entry yet.
"She's the hero the DCEU doesn't deserve, but sure as hell needs right now," the narrator declares.
While the trailer does give props to the movie's tone, most of the acting and writing, and the direction, it does poke fun at various aspects. There are gentle digs at Diana's complete naivete (yeah, someone who knows a million languages should know what "marriage" is), the rather cartoonish villains, and the idea that after World War I, Diana just sits on her hands until the events of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."
All in all, the Honest Trailer reflects what we all know: "Wonder Woman" was a fantastic movie.
