Can you smell what The Rock is cooking? It's some advice for a pair of candy asses who had the temerity to ask for it.

In this clip from Stephen Merchant's upcoming film "Fighting With My Family,"Dwayne Johnson makes a cameo as himself. The dramedy follows a former wrestler and his family who perform at small-time venues to make ends meet. The kids, Zak (Jack Lowden) and Raya (Florence Pugh), realize a dream by landing a WWE audition. When they bump into Johnson, they ask for tips on how to win over the crowd.

"Here's The Rock's advice: Shut your mouth!" he shouts, effortlessly sliding back into his wrestling persona. Then he goes on to insult their appearance, demands they "have no fear," and promises to do things with Mary Poppins' umbrella otherwise.

Johnson is an executive producer of the film, which is written and directed by Merchant and also stars Lena Headey, Nick Frost, and Vince Vaughn. It's based on the 2012 documentary "The Wrestlers: Fighting with My Family," which in turn was partly based on the experience of real-life wrestler Paige, aka Saraya-Jade Bevis.

"Fighting With My Family" opens in theaters September 14.
