The show biz saying "the show must go on" doesn't apply during a hurricane.

CBS announced Thursday that both "Hawaii Five-0" and "Magnum P.I." have halted production as the islands prepare for wild weather, Deadline reports. Intense rains have started hitting the islands as Hurricane Lane gets closer. The tropical storm is a Category 4 hurricane and the National Weather Service has warned that it could bring up to 30 inches of rain and dangerous winds to parts of Hawaii.

Needless to say, these storm conditions aren't conducive to filming a TV show. Both CBS series are keeping their cast and crew's safety in mind by shutting down production. The network said it was "closely monitoring the situation" on Wednesday, and then made the call Thursday.

It remains to be seen exactly how much of an impact Hurricane Lane will have on the Hawaiian Islands, so people are preparing for the worst, just in case.

"Magnum P.I." premieres Monday, Sept. 24 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS, while "Hawaii Five-0" Season 9 debuts Friday, Sept. 28 in the same time slot.
