"The Fast and the Furious" is finally entering a new lane.

"Hobbs and Shaw," a spinoff of the mega-hit franchise starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, has begun filming. And Johnson shared the first set photo to mark the occasion.

The pic shows Statham, who plays antagonist Deckard Shaw, conferring with director David Leitch ("Deadpool 2") in front of a sleek Ferrari. Looks like the spinoff will still be fast and furious.

Shaw and Johnson's government agent Luke Hobbs have been on opposite sides for the last few "Fast and Furious" movies, but this time, they'll team up against a common enemy played by Idris Elba.

In addition to Elba, Vanessa Kirby ("The Crown," "Mission: Impossible - Fallout) has been cast as Shaw's sister.  The movie is also reportedly recasting Hobbs' daughter.

"Hobbs and Shaw" opens in theaters August 2, 2019.
