Can Anne Hathaway tell us how to get to Sesame Street?

According to Collider, the "Devil Wears Prada" star is the top choice to star in the upcoming "Sesame Street" movie.

She has an in with The Muppets: She guest-starred on the 2007 holiday special "Elmo's Christmas Countdown," where she sang and danced with Big Bird.

Jonathan Krisel, the Emmy-nominated co-creator of "Portlandia," is directing the film, which is expected to be a musical. And of course Hathaway has the chops, having won an Oscar for the musical "Les Misérables."

Hathaway might be playing Sally, who happens to be the name of the girl in the very first episode who is introduced to the residents of Sesame Street.

The movie is being made at WB and most of Hathaway's recent films -- "Ocean's 8," "The Intern" and "The Dark Knight Rises" -- have also been for the WB.
