A new nighttime spectacular is headed to Disney's Animal Kingdom.

"Rivers of Light: We Are One" is scheduled to debut this Memorial Day Weekend, as announced on the Disney Parks Blog. Disney has described it as "the next chapter" of the "Rivers of Light" spectacle that was introduced in 2016. Like its predecessor, "We Are One" will feature a mix of music, storytelling, special effects, and lights from lanterns, lasers, and more. There will be no fireworks out of consideration for the park's animals.

"Rivers of Light: We Are One" takes its name from the original score that show-goers will hear. It will be accompanied by imagery and familiar characters from both Disneynature films and animated Disney classics. Disney says the show will "express our connection with animals and the emotions and milestones we all share in our journey through the great circle of life." Mufasa would be proud.

"Rivers of Light: We Are One" officially debuts at the Discovery River Ampitheater at Disney's Animal Kingdom over Memorial Day Weekend.
