What if the first man on the moon had planted a Soviet flag?

That's the premise explored in the first trailer for "For All Mankind," an upcoming series on Apple TV+. The new streaming service debuts this fall with an impressive roster of shows, including this space race drama from "Battlestar Galactica" and "Outlander" creator Ronald D. Moore.

"For All Mankind" is set in a world where the USSR beats the U.S. to the moon. The trailer opens with resentful Americans watching as a Soviet cosmonaut becomes the first man on the moon.

But the event spurs on NASA, inspiring its engineers and astronauts — including a woman — to keep the space race going ... and win.

The series setars Joel Kinnaman ("The Killing"), Michael Dorman ("Patriot"), and Sarah Jones ("The Path").

"For All Mankind" is just one of Apple TV+'s high-profile projects. Others include a morning show drama starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, a CIA thriller with Brie Larson, and a mental health documentary series from Oprah Winfrey and Prince Harry.
