Graphic artist Viktor Hertz is big fan of Stanley Kubrick -- so big, in fact, that he began designing some minimalist poster ideas for some of the director's films. Not long after, the French Cinémathèque reached out to him to complete his series, which would then be featured in their exhibit 'Kubrick et le Web.'
According to Hertz, "The Kubrick series being shown here was actually the seed for the whole pictogram project. The first one was a poster for 'The Shining,' using two woman pictograms, depicting the twins from the film."
