Plot Summary

Jack Ridge, a former piano prodigy once mentored by Van Cliburn, has withdrawn to his family's farmland in north Texas. His wife has left him, and during the week of the annual county piano competition, he punches a wall. The act threatens to derail his performance and burn his last remaining bridge to the town he grew up in. Jack Ridge is living in the past, but the future is coming for him.
