Plot Summary
This German adaptation of the renowned tale by Johanna Spyri follows the adventures of Heidi (Eva Marie Singhammer), a young Swiss girl. Heidi lives an idyllic existence in the Alps with her doting grandfather (Gustav Knuth). Eventually, Heidi goes to Frankfurt, Germany with her aunt to help care for Klara (Gertraude Mittermayr), the disabled daughter of an aristocrat. Though Heidi has difficulty adjusting to the city, she develops a close bond with Klara and gradually warms up to her new life.
