Plot Summary

This documentary focuses on the life of Edith Hahn, a Jewish woman living in Vienna whose family was torn apart after the Nazis occupied Austria. But instead of examining the well-documented stories of concentration camp survivors, the film looks at a woman who escaped the grim inevitability of her fate by masquerading as a non-Jew. With the help of others, Hahn relocated to Munich and suppressed her identity in order to survive, eventually marrying a Nazi and raising an Aryan family.
