Elizabeth Banks's pitch perfect year continues with her selection to the main jury at the Venice Film Festival.

The actress-director-producer joins jury president Alfonso Cuaron, the Oscar-winning director of "Gravity," and members actress Diane Kruger, 2014 Palme d'Or winner Nuri Bilge Ceylan of Turkey, and Polish director Pawel Pawlikowski, whose "Ida" won the Academy Award this year for Best Foreign Language Film.

The panel also includes Cannes festival best director winner Hou Hsiao-hsien of Taiwan, Italian director Francesco Munzi of "Black Souls," British screenwriter-director Lynne Ramsay of "We Need to Talk About Kevin," and French screenwriter-director Emmanuel Carrere.

The 72nd Venice Film Festival runs Sept. 2-12, and the films will be announced July 29.
