'The West Wing' (1999 - 2006)
This addictive sci-fi series has racked up 19 nominations in two seasons, justly winning for its casting, main title design and spooky synth theme music.
'Frasier' (1993 - 2004)
This pitch-perfect comedy (which lasted just as long as its origin show, "Cheers"), held the record for most Emmy wins until "Game of Thrones" surpassed it.
'Orange is the New Black'
Is it a comedy or a drama? This Netflix hit was the first (and only) show to get nominations in both categories. It's won four Emmys, with two of those going to Uzo Aduba as ''Crazy Eyes' Warren.
'The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story'
'American Horror Story'
Ryan Murphy's hit anthology series has received 90 nominations, and won 12 Emmys for its makeup, costumes, and visual effects as well as four acting Emmys: two for Jessica Lange, one each for Kathy Bates and James Cromwell.
This brilliant but disturbing sci-fi series has 11 nominations, winning a writing award for the "San Junipero" episode. This year, Letitia Wright and Jessie Plemons are nominated for, respectively, "Black Museum" and "USS McAllister."
During its nine seasons, this anarchic sitcom earned 42 nominations and won five, including Outstanding Comedy Series in 2006. Lead Steve Carell was nominated six times but never won.
This addictive royal drama is up for 13 Emmys this year. Last year, John Lithgow won for playing Winston Churchill. The series also won awards for its costumes and art direction.
'Star Trek: The Next Generation'
"TNG" racked up 58 Emmy nominations, winning 17 for sound editing, visual effects, makeup, costumes and art direction. No Emmy for Patrick Stewart as Captain Picard … yet!
The Bluths have been busy: The show's earned 25 nominations, with six wins, including Outstanding Comedy Series for 2004.
'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit' (1999 - Present)
Mariska Hargitay won Best Lead Actress in a Drama in 2006 and was nominated eight years in a row. Her former partner, Christopher Meloni, only nominated once. Winning guest stars include Ellen Burstyn (as Stabler's bipolar mom) and Cynthia Nixon.
'Dexter' (2006 - 2013)
Nominated for 23 Primetime Emmy Awards: Including five in a row for Michael C. Hall and four in a row for Outstanding Drama. The serial killer series won two Creative Arts Emmys and two Primetime Emmys, including one for John Lithgow as Dexter's nemesis, Arthur Mitchell.
'Bill Nye the Science Guy'
Bill Nye made science fun -- and understandable. The enjoyably educational show was nominated for 23 Emmys and won 19.
