The TV drama series Hakusen Nagashi, which started appearing in January 1996, had Matsumoto and environs, with its abundant natural beauties, as its setting in depicting the lives of young people, their dreams, their love affairs in a drama that appealed to all ages in showing the pains, pathos and beauties of youth.
