1. Exploring Every Island in Hawaii - 9 weeks fishing, camping, hiking, diving & exploring
3 years ago we made a goal to visit every public island in Hawaii (The big Island, Kauai, Maui, Molokai, Lanai and Oahu). So we spent a total of 9 weeks exploring all 6 islands. We did a lot of fishing, snorkeling, diving, beach combing, camping, hiking, and just meeting the most wonderful people.
2. Rebuilding Off-Grid Cabin & Digging Well at Alaskan Homestead
I bought an abandoned Alaskan homestead and off-grid cabin with no water source or well. For 2 years I have been building roads, repairing buildings, fixing equipment and hauling water onto our property. For the next 3 months we are finishing some major projects and tackling our water problem.
3. 2 Weeks in Taiwan - Hunting Jade, Shrimp Fishing, Indigenous Survival & More
My Family spent 2 weeks traveling Taiwan for the first time. Its a small Island packed full of culture and adventure and amazing food. We got to go shrimp fishing in Taipei and a fishing restaurant, learning about the various indigenous cultures at a survival school in Hualien, Hunting jade in a mountain river, Climbing monkey mountain in Kaohsiung, Celebrating Christmas and New Years with a bang, some unexpected trips to the Hospital and of course we ate amazing food everywhere.
4. Forging a Knife & Survival Camping Alone in the Wilderness
I am heading into the woods of Alaska for 3 days with no sleeping bag or tent. I am going to sleep in a survival shelter, make a forge, make a charcoal kiln, make charcoal, forge and make a knife and do it all in extreme cold weather alone in the wilderness.
5. Camping on Frozen Ocean - 6 Days Fishing for King Crab & Hunting Ptarmigan
The Berring Sea is frozen and I am headed to Nome Alaska to Solo camp on the edge of the ice pack with my hot tent while fishing for giant king crab through the ice. I'll also be hunting for ptarmigan and looking for muskox. And later on my family will join me in Nome.
6. 2 Weeks in Australia - Swimming with Crocodiles, Racing Rally Cars & Petting Kangaroos
This 2 week trip to Australia WAS INSANE!!!! We ate water buffalo in an aboriginal village, swam with salt water crocodiles, caught barramundi, raced rally cars, got introduced to Australian football, landed helicopters on waterfalls, learned to throw boomerangs and play digeridoo, ate tons of lamingtons and meat pies, got to play with baby wallabies and pet kangaroos and so much more. BEST introduction to Australia ever.
7. Camping in Arctic Circle with No Tent (-26 Degrees)
I am 150 miles (241 km) North of the Arctic Circle in Alaska solo camping without a tent in -26 C/-15F. I am crossing desolate frozen tundra, sleeping in snow caves, hunting ptarmigan and caribou and visiting isolated Alaskan communities.
8. Goodbye
In this episode Luke announces that he is going to step away from YouTube. The amount of work and challenges with people recognizing him and his family are getting overwhelming. Tommy's channel, Outdoor Tom, will continue. Luke made the choice to spend more time with his family and help raise his boys to be good members of society. He mentioned he has several videos in the pipeline or half done that he will release all in one batch at the end of the year. For the foreseeable future, this is the end of the channel. Sad day...We will miss you, Luke.
