A cute little sleeper film. It grows on you each time you see it. Definitely see in when you\'re in the mood to make pies. It\'s a bout the choices we make in life -- some good, some bad -- and pursuing our dreams. The characters are flawed, but they are real. There are no clear villians or heros in this piece. Even the husband, as reprehensible as he is, has some redeeming qualities. You can see why she fell for him before the relationship went sour. He\'s a rather lost soul who wants love but is unable to share it. It lifts the spirts because even when she\'s in this horrible relationship, there is beauty in her soul, expressed by her ability to make pies. She still pursues her dreams, and even if she makes some bad choices along the way, in the end she makes the right one.

The characters really made the whole movie believable. Its sorry, that it can really be true to life, thats why some people may not like it. Life, just ain't perfect, and there is no sugar coating it. We just can't get it right and I give Shelly all the credit for tying to make a happy ending.
