The long-gestating sequel to "Tron: Legacy" is a go, with original stars Olivia Wilde and Garrett Hedlund set to reprise their roles.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wilde will return as algorithm-in-human-form Quorra, while Hedlund will once again play Sam, the son of Jeff Bridges's character from the 1982 original "Tron." Director Joseph Kosinski will also return for "Tron 3," THR writes.

No details about the film's plot are available so far. Production is expected to start sometime this fall, possibly in Vancouver, though that schedule currently depends on Wilde and Hedlund's availability. (Hedlund will be busy promoting his role as Hook in "Pan.")

"Tron: Legacy" pulled in $400 million at the worldwide box office after its 2010 debut. Disney is no doubt banking on "Tron 3" to do the same.
