YouTube user Stryder cut together a retro trailer for the Zack Snyder film, using footage of two old-school incarnations of the main characters — Michael Keaton's Batman and Christopher Reeve's Superman. The video splices together the new and old films, weaving in Gene Hackman's Lex Luthor and Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman (and even Jon Cryer's Lenny!).
It's a really fun "what if?" and definitely gives us a different take on what a "Batman v Superman" can look and feel like. The actual film was the subject of some vicious fan wars, and though it made a bajillion dollars, still underperformed high expectations.
Then again, Warner Bros. is moving ahead with the standalone "Batman" movie and even considering "Man of Steel 2." Maybe Batman and Superman will meet again some day.
