2017 has been the year of Emma Stone.

Not only did the "La La Land" star win an Oscar for Best Actress this February, she was just named the world's highest-paid actress by Forbes in the magazine's annual list. She managed to dethrone Jennifer Lawrence, who had held the title the two previous years. No one else could top Stone's $26 million in the 12-month period measured, either.

Lawrence was actually bumped down to the No. 3 spot this year, despite making $24 million. It was Jennifer Aniston who came in second, as she made $25.5 million. They, along with the seven other women on the list, earned a combined $172.5 million. Not bad, but not as good as last year's $205 million.

Emma Watson joined for the first time this year; by raking in $14 million, she tied with Charlize Theron for sixth place. Meanwhile, other past honorees fell of the list. Scarlett Johansson, Fan Bingbing, and Deepika Padukone all ceded spots, making room for Watson and returners Stone and Cate Blanchett.

As usual, the list was filled with talent. Melissa McCarthy, Mila Kunis, Julia Roberts, Cate Blanchett, and Amy Adams also made the cut.
