Disney has changed several upcoming release dates for high-profile flicks, including the hotly-anticipated sequels to beloved properties "Indiana Jones" and "Mary Poppins."

First up is "Indy 5," which had already been plagued by delays, including an 11th hour screenwriter switcheroo. With "Solo" scribe Jonathan Kasdan taking over the reins from David Koepp (who penned "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull"), it was already heavily rumored that Disney would be delaying the film's planned July 10, 2020 drop (which itself was already pushed back a year from the originally announced 2019 date).

That rumor did indeed pan out, with the studio announcing this week that it was moving "Indiana Jones 5" back almost a full year, to July 9, 2021. That gives filmmakers time to hone in on a new vision with Kasdan (and original star Harrison Ford to get back in whip-cracking shape).

In other Mouse House scheduling news, "Mary Poppins Returns" -- the first new entry in that series since the classic original musical bowed in 1964 -- is moving up a week. Originally slated to debut this Christmas, the sequel (featuring Emily Blunt in the titular role) is now due to fly into theaters on December 19.

Adjust your calendars accordingly.
