Sam Tarly's younger brother will apparently have more screen time in "Game of Thrones" Season 7, but he'll be played by a new face. (Which is not to say he'll be a Faceless Man, although GoT should start using that excuse since it keeps recasting roles.)

Freddie Stroma ("unREAL") played Dickon Tarly in Season 6's awkward family dinner scene, when Sam and Gilly visited Horn Hill.

We were looking forward to seeing more of Stroma, and apparently we can -- when he's on the ABC series "Time After Time," where he plays H.G. Wells.

Watchers on the Wall posted the recast news -- which has yet to be confirmed by HBO -- reporting that Stroma's ABC schedule likely conflicted with "Game of Thrones," leading to the change. Who has the role now? WotW says British actor Tom Hopper ("Merlin," "Black Sails") is the new Dickon, and he's been seen with actor James Faulkner, who plays scary dad Randyll Tarly.

WotW also shared some mini spoilers about Dickon and Randyll Tarly, saying they both fight in a major ambush/battle scene in Season 7. Read the full post for more details on the ambush, along with other filming spoilers. And welcome to the fold, Tom Hopper!

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 premieres summer 2017.
