Michael B. Jordan will star in the new "creature feature" film from "Kong: Skull Island" director Jordan Vogt-Roberts.

All we know about it is that it's based on an original idea by the director and set in the filmmaker’s hometown of Detroit. It will likely be shot there as well.

Jordan will also serve as co-producer through his Outlier Society company, which co-produced last year's Emmy-nominated "Fahrenheit 451" for HBO. Outlier is also developing the fantasy "Black Leopard, Red Wolf."

The actor, who's known for his roles in "Creed" and "Fruitvale Station," played Killmonger in Marvel's "Black Panther."

Coincidentally, Vogt-Roberts' last film "Kong: Skull Island," which grossed grossed over $545 million worldwide, starred fellow MCU actors Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, and Brie Larson.

Quick: Someone crunch numbers on how many movies being made today don't have someone from the MCU in them.

Vogt-Roberts is also working on the "Metal Gear Solid" movie.
